: Oops, I did it again!

Just when I'm half through my Tin Top project (first pic), my SJ413K project (second pic) and my LJ80 project (third pic) I bought another Suzuki.
It's a 1988 Suzuki Samurai LWB (fourth pic).

I must be an idiot!
I have about ten Suzuki's now:eek:.

The LWB has a shackle reversal and 3 inch springs lift (not the best lift I've read:shaking:)
7.50x16 tires and 4.16 t-case gears.
1.3 EFI engine.
Those can't be seen in the picture.
It's an old picture.
The car is in an even worse shape now:D!

The steering is fixed with a drop pitman arm.
I don't like this solution.
And I don't like Z-links either.

What's the best steering solution in your opinion?

I knew it! :flipoff2: I think a dropped pitmanarm is the best solution if it corrects the steering, if not a high steer is second best IMO. Z-links is not a solution, it is like raping virgins to cure AIDS

Virgins, you say...

:D

My Tin Top with SPOA makes use of Sky's OTS.
I prefer OTS over a dropped pitman arm.
But will it work with shackle reversal and 3" lifted springs?

Of course I'd rather use another suspension set up, but a lot of my cash goes into my other projects now.

I want to make the LWB road worthy very fast and then go on with my other projects.

What is wrong with the z-links? i have a stocker and i am getting ready to lift it and i thought that sounded pretty good

If it is lifted enoug a high steer is the way to go, getting the components out of the way is a good thing. But there is nothing wring with a dropped pitman arm. A lot of stock cars have a massive amount of drop, like grand cherokee(?) but I`m not going to discuss if those represent good engineering :D There will not be a practical increase in leverage on the steering box and frame.

What lift does it have then, about 4"? a stock spoa lifts about 4.5" or something, so you might have room for it.. Its not like that set up will flex like crazy and compress the steering into the frame :)

They work most of the time, but it is still not a solution. Search for z-link, steering geometry and the like on this site, you should school yourself on this quick.

Looks like you have room for one more next to the blue lwb! :flipoff2:
