OK, which one is better? Looking to buy one from the early/mid ninties. I only have a couple grand to spend ,tops, or else I'd get a new one.

Any one got one for sale over here on the right coast???

Thanks

i have personally riden both. the warrior had a little more grunt but it did have a super trapp pipe.
both had "E" start and went into reverse easy. i really think it is a draw between those two.

i'm not sure but it seems to me that there are more aftermarket goodies available for the warrior. plus i think the warrior looks better.

The warrior is a more powerful quad, but is very front heavy. They are both as reliable as they get. It all matters to how everything feels to you. they are very different on body position, so go for what feels more confortable. I feel very awkward on the 350, but then again, that is why I have a Honda TRX400EX!

I have spent a fair amount of time on both in the woods. The are differences between the two, but they are very subtle and depend on how you ride. I am 5'8" and 185lbs. so some may be different for you and yours.

1. The six speed gear box on the warrior is easier for finding and sticking with a gear on the trail. It seems with the 300 i was shifting alot more. No biggie, drop a sprocket tooth. Change the exhaust.

2. Like mentioned before the frontend on the warrior is heavier because the wheelbase is longer and rider position is different.
The Warrior seemed more stable on steep inclines or bumping over at the top of a peak. With the 300 you had to shift your body weight more to controll lifting the front off the ground. The 300 is a wheelie machine while the warrior is a little tougher to get off the ground. Since the warrior is longer, a rear rack is easliy added with plenty of room to shift your weight.

3. Reverse when used on a warrior requires no boot heel tricks like the 300 ( if youve ever ridden one you will know what i mean).
It is pretty straight forward on the Warrior.

4. Overall impression, if you are ever going to have a passenger or need a rack in the rear and value a steady platform on off camber situations, buy a Warrior. If you want a simply fun and sporty machine that you can toss around with your weight and wheelie with ease, buy the honda.

p.s.- The honda reliability and maintenace are also very important. The honda is self lubricated swingarms and A-arms are convenient. The warrior is lubricated by grease zerks at various locations and are not sealed as well as hondas.

If you have any questions over anything else you think is the most important issue. Just let me know.

Cool!

Thanks for the info guys, just the stuff I was looking for! I'm really leaning towards the Warrior, I just gotta find one in my price range that's not half way across the country.

Thanks again!

We just bought a 87 warrior for the old lady totrail ride on and for me to play on when I get bored of the bike. Seems like a good machine so far but havent riddin it too much yet. I am doinf some much needed work to it as the previous owner did not know what maintenence was or much about the quad other than put in gear and ride hard. I havent ridden the honda yet but have been on a 400ex. It seemed like a good quad but I am not sure how close it is too the 300.
