Ok, picked up a rear Dana 70 4.10's out of a flatbed f350 for 80 bucks yesterday (i didn't even pull the shafts, hoping it is 35 spline)...i never measured it...BUT got my friend that has it in the back of his truck go out and measure it, he said it was 65 inches.

For yall that are running 1 tons in the rear, what are yall measuring out to be? I want to put on discs, but not if im going to lose a few more inches, my plan was to go full width. Im getting a front 60 full width, is this just gonna be awkward if i have wide front end and a narrow rear end. I know it will be easy for me to swing my rear end around on the trail, b/c if i get the front to go through...i know the rear is coming through. Any of yall have some more pros and cons to having a rear end that is considerably more narrow than the front?
OR
Am i cracked up and is this pretty wide for a rear end?

well i belive some 14 bolts are 67 inches wide. my front is 67 i belive , thats pretty stndard from single wheel vehicles that teh front is a bit wider than teh rear for tracking on the road! in real world wheeling it doesnt bother me one bit and works fine! jiMMy
