I called Mike today to see when I should bring my truck in. Mike's backed up and can't work on mine till the 15th. FAWK! Mike asked me to talk to Bob to see if he can do anything. I sent Bob an email and am hoping he's got some time. Shit I wish I took metal shop instead of drafting and photgraphy. I've got this awesome machine collecting dust in my driveway.

Oh well that's my rant...

The 220 mig is on the xmas list and if I went out and bought one my girl would be back to trying to figure out what to get me and I'll hear about that for 3 months.

Course if I could weld worth a shit would help. :D

Silly, I too hope it's not a big deal and can be done in short order. I was hoping on making the boobiecon clean-up and the Jeep Fest in Reno. Then there's bender-rama and Moab at the end of October. Now I'm seeing these things fading fast.

It's definately time I learn some new skills.

Zactly what I was thinking. Not paying other people the labor to do your work is a good way of funding your tools budget......

I hear you guys and I'm working towards that goal. But FWIW as the "customer" I don't mind paying to get things done right by people who know what they are doing. But obviously if I'm going to keep playing in this sport and breaking shit, I'd better figure out how to fix it myself unless I want to be at everyone's mercy.
