Considering going, I used to run the trail 20 times a summer, missed the last 4 or so but have never paid for a jambo. Couldn't justify it since I can run it anytime I want. Anyway, thinking of ponying up just to try it atleast once..

Any other Scouts run it?

I've considered it, but they don't charge per vehicle, they charge per person... And this has really been a turn off:

"all vehicles must be registered
Minimum Two (2) people per vehicle"

I've sent a few letters about helping/working or even possibly volunteering, and have never heard back anything.

Maybe it's becaus I drive a Scout?:homer:

I thought the IH Scout was the official recovery vehicle of the 2010 Jeep Jamboree

That will be on my windshield this spring :grinpimp:

I'd imagine they have the same staff year after year and someone would have to die for someone else to take that spot. I have camped at Pirate Camp (sluice) many years as they all went by, and it was fun to watch. I respected that they blew their load to go and stayed far away.

My dad went over 20 years ago, I'd like to take him along so two people is fine (cost is steep but it is what it is).

When he went they would leave a bottle on a rock, next rig takes a swig and leaves it. Times have changed..

They do go first class. I saw them flying out the trash and empty ice chest.

I Like the windshield banner, but I'm thinking this might not win you any points on a trail with 99% Jeeps.
