Okay, before everyone gets to flame happy, this rig will be used as a tow rig only for my 85 Toyota. Secondly, if you know of a better website for this type of question then cough it up.
I'm looking at going with a 6" Superlift or Pro-Comp lift with 35's. Doing a SAS on this rig is out of the question at this point, so please don't just reply "DO AN SAS!". Has anyone ran this set-up before? Just looking for honest opions before I dive in. Thanks for the help in advance.

As a general rule procomp makes everything A.C.A.P. "As Cheap As Possible". I would go with the superlift if you can afford it. Also superlift is having a HUGE sale on their newer chevy lifts, huge as in $900 off jobber. I think the sale is for 2000-02s though. At least look into it.

Thanks for the advice Charlo. Now its narrowed done to Fab-Tech or Superlift. It seems like both are fairly decent companies. Anyone ever dealt with Fab-Tech lifts before? Thanks in advance.

I checked on the sale... only 99-02s :flipoff2: . Fabtech is an excellent kit also. The only deal with the fabtech kits is many of them require you to buy new rims with a different offset. If you were going to anyways no problem. If you want to save money look into it because I dont believe you have to for the superlift.
I dont know if your truck has autotrack or not or even if they offered it for that year. If it does have autotrack you will need to replace the front drive shaft for both the superlift kit and the fabtech. If you are trying to save money again check into a kit by a company called RCD. RCD makes good kits also that do not require a new fron shaft. I do not think autotrack came around till bout 99 though. Just some stuff to consider.

I just put a Fabtech on my '02 w/ autotrack & it doe's not take a new shaft. Don't know if it's the same for '95's.

Must only be certain models then. I know we installed a lift which fabtech said required a new D-shaft but the install said he didnt need it. Did you get a 6" or one of the smaller lifts?

You may want to check out RCD suspension kits--they are the only one's that I know of that have the spindle lift for the older gerneration c/k 89-98 trucks. The spindle lift is so much better IMO because of less parts on the kit and easier installation.
They also come standard with Bilstein shocks a big plus. I think Naional Tire and Wheel in Wheeling, WV. sells their products.

Thanks for all the help and research.
Charlo, appreciate you looking into the sale on Superlift.
BlazzinOR, I will look into the other site you listed.
Eric, Thanks for the info on RCD. I am closely looking at the RCD 6" lift. When I originally researched companies to go with, RCD did not make a lift for older generation Chevy/GMC's. Now that they do I agree with the points you made. RCD products look like they are pretty high quality.
Thanks
