The rear D44 is worth 100.00 and the FRT 150-$200.00 If it's a d-44 and not a d-30 and has disc drakes. If it has 4.09 gears add 20.00 to 40.00. The dana 20 T/c is worth 75.00/100.00 and if it has a D-300 it's worth 500/600.00. The auto is a 727 and there worth almost nothing and the 4 speeds are 100.00 and the wide ratio T-19 in worth 200.00 or so.

The IH 727's are getting rare, including the D20 adapter (thanks to some people on this board who destroy them). Although the 727's are not worth much, you always want to keep one as a spare. You can also swap the guts between cases for different motors (AMC, IH, Dodge). If you do buy a Scout you will soon develop the same problem we all have, one is never enough.

If it is an early 74 then it will have a Dana 44 w/disks, late 74 had Dana 30 w/disks.

Even I, the great breaker of slush-boxes, seem to have "enough" *at the moment*..

I have 3 rigs with autos. My Travelall, my mom's SII, and my race Scout.

Lying in a pile I have 2 2wd 727s, one broke-case 4x4 727 ( ) and two more 4x4 transmissions.

That's a lot of autos for a guy that prefers a manual.

Thanks to Rick W. I have an extra 727->D20 adapter now, too.

I *am* running low on Dana 20s.. might have to hit the boneyard (gasp) soon.. my supply is dwindling.

I guess I should've known better than to put ALUMINUM parts on my Scout.. It just won't hold up..

(Then again, the cast iron transfer case and diffs haven't been faring much better lately..)

The only bull gear worth anything is one for a d-300

It's for a D20. Also have a lovely T-90 sitting next to the 727 We put in a T19 and 304 out of a scout 2 So all the Scout 800 junk needs to go to the scrapyard!

BTW to answer the original question - here in MN the fronts and rears go for $50-$100. All the jeep guys complain about the lack of caster in the fronts so they go cheap.

Sure, drop it off in my driveway. I'll make sure it goes to a good home, or else in my rig. I keep breaking mine.
