I'm stripped down to the frame, and am slowly starting to put it back together, I am looking at front Chevy fullsize 4" rancho springs for the rear. Has anyone done this? did it work ok? I'm thinking of doubling the shackles the second one laying parallel under the rear frame horns until which time as the rear droops and they will travel downward with a limiting strap so they cannot reverse.
I've seen this on toyotas before, is it streetable?
I plan to run the 4" chevy lift springs all the way around if they will do the job in the rear. (one spare) and this with a shackle reversal up front will give me a 98" wheel base.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, Am I going the right direction? Oh, and this will be a daily driver/weekend crawler, so I don't wanna get too radical. thanks.

I'm going to start with stock/custom chevy packs in the front and increase the lift as I need to. Front suspension parts and accessories are plentiful.

Mike Bennett of Top Truck Challenge 199? is/was running this setup. Rummor has it he drove it on some big ass road trip when he was done. With the long flat spring it flexes like a mofo.

offset F150 springs have been a favorite out here for some time.
The key to flexin a 40 is the rear.
A FJ55 spring is the normal (and easiest) initial swap to enhqnce the rear. Rotating front and rear gives the wheel base youre after too.
