I'm looking into making my own 5th wheel trailer. Just gathering info. While looking for axles to run I came a cross a deal for 2 Chevy 14 bolt axles, both running duallys. Price is way cheap. Set up would be truck camper on front, and room for Jeep in back on a flat bed.

What do you guys think of this? What is the weight limit on Chevy 14 bolt duallys?

(Yeah, I'm looking at cheap 5th wheels but don't have the 3/4 ton truck yet to drive one home.)

should be ok, dont know the limit, but I believe theese axles were made for this sort of work, if not maybe a set of Dana 80's would do the trick.

what do you have in mind for a brake system? Is it possible to run electric over hydraulic? Is that DOT kosher? just asking because I'm curious too.

why would you want 2 giant pigs draging under there? just go with real trailer axles
