: Direct bolt in seats for TJs?
REDLYNER 12-17-2009, 06:42 AM Anyone know the short list of aftermarket seats that bolt directly into TJs?
I'm looking for a set (was getting Corbeau XPs), but I just can't stand spending an additional $160+ for brackets that eliminate the tilting mechanism, etc.
What aftermarket seats bolt directly into a TJ without the addition of brackets?
Thanks in advance!
Dookey 12-17-2009, 06:44 AM What year TJ do you have?

I was looking to spend around $600 for a pair of whatever brand.
Dookey 12-17-2009, 06:48 AM 97-99 and 2001-2006 tj seats should all bolt in to your junk. :flipoff2:

Wow... did someone take your crayons away this morning?
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check those out. :flipoff2:
Slangy 12-17-2009, 06:52 AM I think most Corbeau seats will bolt directly into most CJ's and YJ's but you need the bracket for the TJ's.
Best top makes some seats that may be a direct bolt in, not 100% sure though

Make a set. I didn't want to spend the bank on seat brackets so I made them and bolted them to the stock seat risers for less than 10 bucks.
Not the best picture but use your imagination

I spoke with Corbeau yesterday and that is basically the same thing they said. I'll have to check on the Bestop seats.
Anyone running seats that were direct bolt ins? What type did you go with?

Dookey, I have your old Jeep build on my favorites so I can check it out for ideas. I love that rig,:smokin: want mine to resemble yours when it's done (maybe in 20 years)

Agreed make your own, most aftermarket bracket sets will raise the seat too much.
Make your own brackets and go with the baja rs seats from corbeau. I am runninng them in my cj and they are the nicest I ever had my ass in. The rs series gives you more room side to side and will work with any belt set up
I'm running prp's, we used a couple of pieces of angle steele and bolted them to the factory spiders.
Not a direct "bolt" in... but they're in a '05 LJ. I used the Corbeau brackets. The brackets are not tall... but b/c of the way the seat is made, you do sit a little higher than stock.

Sizzle 12-17-2009, 07:36 PM I got some Leather seats out of a 98 grand cherokee for $60 from a pick and pull. Bolt right in and are way comfy.
