77 CJ-5. This weekend I came down reaallly hard on the right front of the tub where my skids should be. Right under the "J" in the embossed "Jeep". This has resulted in the whole bottom front of the tub being pulled back nearly an inch from the impact and/or the top of the tub by the cowl being pushed forward. I think only the front mount of the cage stopped it from ripping the body off of the nearest mount.
What's the easiest way to square it back up? I don't give a sh!t about cosmetics, but now even my half doors don't fit right. I'd hi-lift it but that'd make things worse. Winch to the windshield mount from behind? Anybody got a quick FUBAR fix?

Roger that on the rocker guards. Didn't think I'd need them being this big, but forgot one thing- the bigger your Jeep, the bigger the rocks. Doh!

Dont quit get what the damage looks like with your description. Did push the corner of the tub straight up. If so, then put a pinch weld clamp on the corner, put a chain on the clamp, bolt the chain to the bottom of a high lift jack , and jack up the tub. Should pull it back down.

Aha! Somebody who knows how to fix this shit, maybe.
Keith, it pushed up ~8 inches behind the front of the tub, and sucked the front corner back, and pushed the top forward. My cage used to be ~1/8 inch from the right windshield holddown bolt, now it's more than an inch.

Sounds like it kinda pushed it up and back huh? You get the idea with the jack, you can alter it do whatever type of pull you need. You could also put the chain under a piece of strong tube long enough to drive the front and rear tires on, and use it for a deadman. POTS in the garage floor would be the best thing to have.
If you have to pull it forward and down at the same time(the opposite way it was hit in the first place), then maybe this may help. If you can attatch something to the damaged area, welded on, pinch weld clamp, or whatever, try this. Put a chain on the clamp, and tuck it under the front tire. Back up real slow, and see where the sucka moves to .
