Looks like some kinda cheap-ass pipe bender parts to me. You get that from Harbor Freight??

:flipoff2: Just kidding... :D:D:beer: Congrats on your new toy. We know where you will be for the next few weeks. In the garage, bending stuff up... :D:D

Dustin made his own mount. Took a piece of 6 or 8 inch pipe, about 3 or 4 ft, welded on a base plate and welded the base mount to the other end of the pipe. Drilled four holes in the base plate, 4 matching holes in the concrete and installed bolt inserts from Ace Hardware so the base could be bolted to the concrete yet easily removed when not in use. Worked really nice. He went down to the steel place and got a length (5 ft or so) of square tube that fit pretty neatly over the short handle and it worked great for pulling the bender. The height was good for leverage too... Have fun... :D

All the cool people have one, it's about time you ordered one. :flipoff2: Good luck putting it together I threw out the instructions and just used a picture. Throw that degree ring in the scrap pile and read, print and put this in a 3 ring binder next to the bender: http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/bendin_tube/index.html
The “angle-o-meter” will become your best friend. :D

At least I put mine together before taking a pic.

I didn't even have to throw my degree ring away.....it did so itself by breaking off the other day. Good thing you didn't get the harbor freight notcher cause I've broken mine twice already. Good luck

I made a poor mans hydraulic bender. The stand is made with 2x2 legs and 2x3 top. The bender is mounted hanging over one end and a air/hydraulic ram on the other. I got the ram from Harbor Freight for about $89.99 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=43227 . I mounted some wheels on the bottom so I can move it around and it works great.

I got the idea from the board. I'm sure you could find the post with Search.

I have pics but no way to post them sorry.

Here's a pic of how I mounted mine.

I didn't have room in my little single car garage so I built a receiver hitch mount for my truck.

It's an 'L' shaped peice of 2x2 braced on the corner. I have also added a triangle support that slides in the end to support the weight better. It's got a flat plate that is mounted to a 2.5x2.5 that slides down (in 90* increments) onto the 2x2 'L'.

Just have to make sure to park on fairly level ground. Works great and I can bend anywhere.

The handle is 1x2. It's 6 feet long (which is more than long enough for the 1.5" that I usually bend).

Hey Mark,

I really like your setup, it's the direction I was heading with mine. For the legs, you might want to consider what I've been looking at.

One suggestion: use trailer tongue jacks instead of fixed legs. You can come out of the end of your tube with a Y setup, and use a jack on either leg for levelling. This also allows you to use it on multiple vehicles of differing heights...

It still needs some paint and cross bars to hold dies. I think the ram needs a little more fluid since it's on it's side. I don't think it's going all the way out. I've only used it on 2" x .120 so far but it bent that really easily.

I just got a Model 4 recently. I threw this together real quick. It is working great. I like being able to spin it around as I bend for tight quarters. The bender is a beast. It bends 1.75" .156 wall DOM no prob. With a die installed and the cart, It think it is pushing 300lbs.

I still need to add die storage and a lip on the base to keep the foot pump from sliding off when I roll it around.
