I am building one good rig out of three. 1) I would like to find replacement parts for the window components as well as new seals. 2) I heard that a lock from ??? will work in the scout II doors, anyone know what it is? 3) I am also putting the 1971 tub on a 1976 frame. Any tips?

Your 71 is the same color as my '72.
Any of the Light Line Vendors should have some new window seals/plastic sleeves.
Are you missing locks in all of your doors? LOL
The in-the-frame part of the wiring harness may be different from year to year. I didn't look into it too much, but I helped put a '75 tub on a '72 frame and we found the frame harness was different between the two - ended up just running fresh wires to the tail lights instead. :-)

I did this! I bought a rotten 79 with a good engine/trans/axles and a 72 half cab 4x2 with a very nice body and then a 78 for extra parts. Its alot of work but doable.
The lock? There are two different ones. One is the size of a quarter and the other the size of a dime.

Some parts are missing. I have a few locks but only 1 ignition key out of all three trucks. So new matching locks would be cool.

Any locksmith can re-key the steering column for ~20.00. Setting the up the door locks are 10-12.00 ea

There's a couple of things to fix up on your frame that are much easier to do with it upside down on saw horses, rather than with a body on it.
Gusset the front spring rear mounts.
Gusset the very end channel where the last body mount sits (extra important with a body lift)
look for and repair any and all cracks (duh)
