Yes, I searched, and of 43 posts on this none were all that particular.
I gather you can use 81-84 4 banger hydro master, slave, and line to convert a 77 CJ-5 with 401, stock T-150 bell, T-18. Does this all bolt right on? Or will I need to *gasp* fab up brackets and linkages, and even spark up the welder? I'm looking for the easiest bolt on solution to rid myself of the POS bellcrank stock clutch setup and don't want to work 4 hours to save 40 bucks.
What do I need?

Does that year of 5 have the same pedal assy as the 7. You will need to fab a bracket(or try AA) to mount the slave. On my 7, there is a spot to mount the clutch master to the left of the master/booster.

Did you read Jaffer's hydro conversion page?

From what I understand, a '77 CJ-5's petal assembly is near the same as the later models.
Here's my write up for an '83 conversion ... http://www.monsterslayer.com/jeep/HydClutch/HydroClutch.htm
Maybe that will help.
On the same topic, I recent got a report that a YJ's assembly was a pretty easy swap and it included the MC bracketry.
