What's I got this 4bbl and now I can even use the secondaries.

Do the 345's have problems with 4bbl's. as far as I can tell my vaccume lines are all in good order (I even bought new line)

Could it be my plugs and wires or my coil not giving enough spark for the amount of gas I'm feeding it???

This carb worked great on my Chevy 350.

PS: I have a carb spacer with no plenium dividers in it, I know on the BB it states that one WITH a plenium divider is BEST.....

Help me out here guys.

Don't know how to help you, but my 345 does the same thing. Even after rebuilding the carb. and tuning the engine (plugs, wires, timing, etc.) it still seems like I have more power at just less than full throttle than at full throttle when the secondaires open.

Of course you're already doing better than me by running a QJ rather than a ThermoCrap.

Who knows of some literature I can read up on for my QJ....I'm thinking like a rebuild and tech manual or something like that....

anyone else have problems with these????

Q-jets have a bad habit of dropping one of the 2 pickup tubes into the carb. It makes the secondaries bog heavy when you stomp on it. Easy to fix. Basically when you rebuild the carba dn take the top off you will see a small brass tube laying in the float bowl. It belongs in the top of the carb. You can easily see where it goes.

I had that problem for years and coulndt figure it out. There is an adjustment on the top that you adjust with a flat screwdriver that directly adjusts the secondaires. Sorry for the bad discription but it has been 3 yrs or so since I ran the qjet.
