after shopping around and handling enough shotguns to make my head spin I think I have narrowed it down to a benelli supernova, my question to you guys is before I go out and buy one is there any deals to be had online? I dont really want to start a battle of the brands as anything is an upgrade compared to my S&W 916-a

I don't know about deals, but I hate you for reminding me of my beloved M1 Super 90 Defense that I sold back in '01 :( .

Know it's not what you're asking, but I LOVE my supernova. I have mine in 20 ga. and bought one for a gentleman friend in 12 ga.

I will be buying a 12 gauge for myself one of these days. Just love that gun- I've been more hard on it than any other firearm that I own and it's never failed me.

They are excellent shotguns. Are you going to be using it primarily for home defense, hunting, or skeet? You know about the supernova tactical (SNT)? You can find a wealth of info here:

Ive got a defense gun, this will just be a hunting/ sporting clay gun.
