A few weeks ago I started talking online with a gentleman who is making and selling mag couplers for AR GI mags (doesn't fit P-mags) about testing one for a write up. Well, he sent me three of them knowing from our conversation that I would probably send a couple out to other folks in order to get their opinions as well, that's where you guys come in.
So, here's the deal. I'll send you a mag coupler, you have to use it, take notes, and send me your honest opinions of the product for inclusion in my write up, including pics would be a bonus. If you like it, cool, keep it, it's yours. If you think it's crap, call it crap, sell it, give it away, I don't care as long as you let me know what you think. I'll be posting the write up here in the OSR, Arfcom, M4carbine, and BE 3gun forum. Be prepared to run some reloading drills, be prepared to shoot, the more use it gets the better (don't ask for one if you only have one box of 20 rounds to your name and consider that a fair test of something), be prepared to write/type your evaluation (not looking for a great literary work, just your honesty). For a time line, I'd like to be able to get this done by the end of January.
I am NOT selling these, and I have no involvement with the company besides getting a box of free stuff in the mail to write about. The company I got these from has no idea where they are going, doesn't know I'm posting here, and doesn't care. I could easily do this on my own, but would rather send some free stuff to the OSR bunch and have a broader scope in my review.
So who wants to try one out? I have two up for grabs. Post up here with an "I'll test one", and some ideas you have to test them out for durability, usability, etc. I'll check the thread tomorrow and pick a couple folks to send them to based on your ideas. Please note that destruction is not the goal, so try to keep the torture to a somewhat real world train of thought here.
