i just bought a pair of Fox 2" air shocks , new but have been sitting in a shop for 3 years+ . someone wrote '470 psig' on the shock body. can anyone tell me about where the 'ride height' would be on these under the front of a tj w/ an 8274 winch , maybe a 100lbs of bumper. or is it as easy as adding / removing air to adjust ride height? also what are the chances of there still being 470 psig in them?

the jeep , 97 tj 6cyl 5 sp. 35 " mtrs warn 8274 , 8.8 -locked:D

Depends on how they are mounted and what kind of travel you are looking for.

470 is alot of PSI

I belive i have about 4" of shaft showing and am around 220 psi (but dont quote me on that) and have a V8 and Warn 9K.

It all depends on the mounting first, then the joys of dicking with the oil volume and nitrogen pressure. They are not a bolt in and go item thats for sure.
