The stock Aisin carb is the best - get it rebuilt by Jim Chenoweth (Cruisers Unlimited??) in Ohio - IIRC he charges $250. Maybe IH8MUD.com has a link.

Yeah, the stocker is the way to go. Get a bucket of carb dip, a rebuild kit and the toyota engine manual. Videotape the disassembly. Don't remove any of the butterflies. Dip it, rinse it in solvent and blow it out with compressed air or spray type carb cleaner. Put is back together and adjust it like it says in the manual. $60-70 and you're done.

I already rebuilt my carb myself and am having worse problems than befor. It won't even run. Either I can't remember how something went or I broke something in the process, I don't know. I do know that I took it all apart, even the butterflies, oops. Can anyone help me out. Am I screwed?
