Here are a few of my first welds. These have been cleaned with a wire brush. The wire speed was set between 5 and 6. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Flux core is always dirty, but that looks excessive. Hey we all started that way once in our lives unless you were born with a silver spoon and could afford higer end mig's.

As for teh guy with the new welder keep going lets see your first project.

I just saw in the picture that it is gasless. Makes a bit of a difference. :)

Yes it is a gasless welder :(

I was simply welding a piece of angle iron in order to see if I could even get a decent pattern going.

Looks like the amount of splatter I get welding mig with flux core. Maybe you got a bit more. Probably just need to clean it more before you weld.

the bottom two look like you're doing ok.

The bottom left isnt bad the top two ur travel speed looks too fast and they all look kinda flat which means ur too hot. Gasless welders do make a difference, a gas welder will be cleaner and I think myself stronger. Not trying to be a welding instructor or nething but its what I do for a living. Keep the pics comin and keep practicing you will get it
