: Another Shameless Plug for Jess @ High-Angle Driveline

Now we all know who Jesse is over at High-Angle Driveline but for those that don’t or maybe need confirmation let me share a little something about a man and his business that exemplifies the standard for uncompromising excellence. Not only does his product ROCK but his Customer Service is top notch too.

Recently I did a little upgrade to my Jeep so I bought another D/L form Jess (naturally). The D/L showed up on time (literally the next day) but to my surprise the u-joint configuration was incorrect (assuming the pinion yoke on my new super duper axle was correct) I also assumed that Jess made the mistake and built me a 1310 as opposed to a 1350 D/L as ordered. Without question Jess builds and ships out another slip yoke that day. Well I get the new slip yoke and it turns out to be the same friggin size as the 1st one so this brings me to the realization that the axle mfg. made the mistake and shipped me the incorrect pinion yoke. No problem according to Jess, just send the replacement slip yoke back and all is good, really cool if you ask me. Recently I emailed Jess a pic of my newly installed D/L because I had a little concern about the lack of travel in the D/L which he promptly responded to saying that it could stand to be shortened by a ½ inch or so. Now this is where Jess completes the customer service marathon. I tell Jess that shipping my D/L back to him is somewhat of an inconvenience because it’s on my daily driver so what does Jess offer to do? He suggests that he build me a brand new D/L so I can continue to drive my DD while the new shaft is on it’s way to me, allowing me to never experience a moments down time (a total of 2 days max). Now, I don’t know Jess from Adam (other than the half dozen phone conversations we had) but that’s just plain ol’ AWSOME customer service and you will never find any rig of mine running anything but High Angle Shafts!

Disclaimer on the mfg. process – I accept all responsibility for any and all misinformation provided to Jess who I might add always built everything to my exacting specifications so I’m the looser who can’t add, subtract or multiply but when all was said and done, my ineptitude never once played a roll in how Jess took care of me. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Thanks again Jess…

-keith

Yep, great guy! Talked to him for a while today about the specs on front driveshaft I won here on the PBB. .120 wall? Who needs that junk, how about 3/8?

I ordered my drivelines last year. Kinda unique, short bed K30 with doubler kit. Front and rear are almost the same length. Talked with Jess, sent him my 205 flange (both 1350 CV's) and he sent the flange and the front drive shaft out. Tried to bolt it up, wooops, too long ???? measured it, sure enough it is the front shaft with the rear lenght.... Check my spec sheet that I sent him, nope, dimensions on the sheet are correct. Called him next day, we figured out that he made it the wrong lenght. He arranges for UPS to come out and pickup the shaft no questions asked. A week later, both the rear and the front arrive. BEAUTIFUL construction and 1 year later still 100% satisfied :)

Thanks Jess :)

rig is doing great. only problem i seem to be having is these damn drive shafts. i just can't seem to kill them. :D that is bad for my reputation as a parts destroyer. i have tryed so hard to break them fawkers that on one obstacle i was grinding the front shaft so hard the rock exploded and a piece of rock shrapnel but a hole in the oil pan.

no not kidding. :D here is how we patched it. JR had some quick dry epoxy so we just rolled her over and pluged the hole with the stuff. it was around midnight on bigjohnston at the hammers.
