: need hardcore mud and rockcrawling JEEP pics
Hey, sorry if i put this in the wrong section, but I can only use jeep pictures, so i figured the jeep forum would be the best.
I am giving a speech on rockcrawling and mud bogging and I need pictures to go along with it. If anyone has any hardcore JEEP picutres of them on rocks, (good RTI ramp pics will do too :D) or of jeeps in deep mud, could you please post them, send me a link or email it to nc691@aol.com. If this is in the wrong forum, sorry, i will move it.
Thanks alot
Nick
EDIT: I did search and only found a few good pictures of rockcrawling, but none of mud.
Thanks again

I am not exactly sure what my topic is going to be, but it is an informative speech on rockcrawling or mudding, not sure what one I am going to choose yet, might do both. I am just going to have pictures on powerpoint and do a slide show thing and relate the pictures to the speech.
these pics are fawkin awsome. damn i wish we had rocks here :D

Your friends don't know where this is :flipoff2: It's not near any city and I'm the only wheeler who knows it and can get people there to wheel.
My rules-
It's a 35"+ playground with mandatory lockers front and rear, winch, spare parts, and axles that match your tires required. Maximum of 2 vehicles besides mine per trip (I like to keep it low key).
I'll ask again, you got the rig???

Okay, now I'm interested, I'm assuming that it is near your home, so that you would be able to take me there without much trouble to yourself, assuming that it would have to be on a weekend, but whenever you can do it, I'd be looking at sometime late next spring, my grandpa lives in St Petersburg, and I'd like to go visit him, hauling my junk down on the trailer wouldn't be that big of a deal, so, here's what I got.
'95 Wrangler, BIG 4cyl power, no concern for body damage, 35" MT/R's (probably 37 by next spring) Ox locked Dana 44 front, spooled 9" rear, 5.38's, SM420, NP231 (should be Dana 300 by then) and if this winter goes right it will be SOA on 52" springs up front, 1/4 ellip in the rear. I have spare shafts, although I may be running alloys and CTM's by then, and I've got a crappy old RE8000 up front that may or may not be replaced by then.
So, how large of an area are we talking here? The pics make it look to be maybe 400 square feet, but pics can be deceiving. How far (without giving up the top secret location) from St. Pete? Is it worth huling my junk on a trailer for 24 hours, 1500 miles front Northern Michigan? Do I have the rig?

Look closely, I know it's hard to tell, but that's no TJ, it's a YJ with SOA front and 1/4 ellip rear, running Scout Dana 44's for now, with 38" SX's

All you needed to say was that you had typical Florida rig
4bangler- That's far enough off that we can talk about it in the future. We have a lot of land in the general area similar to the pile, however we ususally don't wheel anything but the pile. The rocks are all 40" plus, it's about half the size of a football field. Every time I head out there we break so much stuff making the first pass through that first corner that we quit and go home (last time I didn't break anything but rkcrawl exploded his 44 outers with 36s). Due to the lack of fill material and random boulder placement NO ONE has attempted to drive the length of the pile to date. I will try one day before I leave here with a good spotter and another rig with a winch :D

Yup, I have a 12 frame sequence of it. I swear I saw it in Moab during Safari and, if I wasn't mistaken, it had coilovers.
