Hey i just scored a FI 350 w/ 30K on a rebuild, sm465, np208 all together, wiring harness computer and all! So i was wondering, is there a motor mount kit for this, or will the stock motor mounts work?? Is there a website or anyone have a webpage showing this swap....all i got to do is drop it in and crank her up and im ready to go...I can make the crossmember for the xfercase...thats no biggie, but am i going to have to make some motor mounts?? or should i just get some out of a Chevy truck and bolt/weld them in on my frame??

All the street rod magazines have ads for SBC motor mount brackets. You can also get them from Chris Alston in Sacramento and from PAW.

make your own:rolleyes: I made mine out of 2" square stock, 3/8 plate, 2" by 3" angle, a bushing and a bolt with a nut:D

first I ground off old mounts, then put engine and tranny together in scout, then welded angle in place, I then measured and cut 2" square stock, and angled the end where the bolt runs through it, bolt your triangle plate on motor before you install it. I mounted mine kinda high so i could get tranny way up above frame, then I welded mount so that the intake manifold was level, you can set the engine and tranny on jack stands and shim it where it needs to be, then measure, and build as you go. hope that helps?:D
