I have two transmissions both currently installed in Ford Pickups. Obviously, if someone wants them and we work out details on shipping or local pickup I will remove the tranny or tranny's for said buyer. Just haven't had good weather lately or they'd already be out.
The First one:
Borg Warner T-18 bull dog four speed. Bad boy cast iron nearly industructible. It is in a 1972 Ford F350 2wd so if you want to bolt it to a transfer case you will need an adaptor to replace the tail shaft section. This is a fixed yoke tranny with speedometer cable acceptance. It is currently bolted to a 390 big block but with the correct bellhousing it can bolt to anything as it is the standard 10 spline input shaft. This tranny has 77,000 miles on it and works great with the exception it has a pretty good amount of shifter slop. After you drive it for 5 minutes or so you get used to it and the gears are not hard to find but it does flop around quite a bit compared to some I've seen. There may be a bushing or something you can replace I'm not sure. Other than that it works great although one time while holding back on a long downhill grade with a bobcat behind me on my trailer it did jump out of 3rd gear so possible issue there but I've only had it do it the one time, unloaded it will not do it. Just trying to be completely honest about these as I have bought stuff in the past and been caught off guard. If someone is local this truck is currently street capable and can be driven, PM me to come by and take it for a spin prior to purchasing. I'm asking $350 for this one due to the shifter slop.

The 2nd Tranny:
This one is a NP435 I believe as reverse is over and down where as the Borg Warner's like the before mentioned tranny are over and up. It is in a 1972 Ford F250 Highboy 4x4 with divorced transfer case so no speedometer output on this one as far as I know. It is bolted to a 390 engine as well but with the correct bellhousing will fit anything as it also has the 10 spline input shaft. Shifter is very tight and this is one of the smoothese operating transmissions I've ever seen for these model trucks. It has either 44,000 or 45,000 miles on it as the speedo cluster is really hazy and I'm not sure which. I'm asking $300 for this one and unfortunately this vehicle is not driveable as I'm not completely done with the rear four link and I still have to go through the brakes but I can tell you I have drove this truck and it works great.

I would rather not ship these, but if they can go UPS I am willing to on your dime. I will try to get some weights on them and see if they fall under the 150 pound limit that UPS ships within. Honestly I can tell you it will be close as these are HEAVY! Either trans can be bought with or without the bellhousing it matters not to me as the Highboy is going Auto and the Dually is going Overdrive for the long hauls on the interstate. Basically my woods truck matches my tow rig and I'm overhauling them both.

Both tranny's are still currently installed and have been checked periodically for fluid levels and are reletivaely leak free considering the age. They do have the oil "residue" of being 40 year old tranny's and will need thourough cleaning if going into an extremely nice rig. If I was going that far I would slap some seals front and rear as well being these are the originals and have never been apart to my knowledge as both trucks have been in my family since nearly new.

Any other questions feel free to ask!

Thanks,
Derek

Bump, am I too high? I might take a little less as I have no use for these anymore. It would be a shame to haul good tranny's to the scrap yard.

Just an update, I have decided to leave the Transmissions installed until they do sell. Or at least until March when I start work on the vehicles again. I am doing this because in the trucks they are out of the weather whereas if I remove them they will be exposed to the elements. Keep in mind if you want them I can have them out in one day no problem. I work 2nd shift so I can pull one out in the morning and have it ready for pickup or shipping the following day. Hopefully someone out there needs these, or at least one of them.

Thanks,
Derek

I have a possible buyer on the T18 so far. Any takers on the NP 435? Make me an offer, you won't be dissappointed these are GOOD LOW MILEAGE tranny's that are getting harder and harder to find.

Tranny's are both gone, had a guy stop by and take them both. Thanks to all who replied and inquired!

You wouldn't happen to have a guide how to tear the T-18 down? I have run into a snag trying to tear mine down since I am trying to replace the output shaft to use for 4x4 appplication. I can find high detail diagrams about where all the snap rings are.
