sure do. They pass through 1/2 round holes in the rockers and are gusseted and welded to the rails near the top.

I tried to make it to look as close as possible to the stock step, but with the stoutness of a rock skid.

That would be a gearbox section of a NP203 mated to a Warden's Billet case...

Nice work!!!

How thick is that bottom plate? In the photo is looks like 1/2" steel plate!

One trick on mounting it up against the frame on those "U" sections. Make the U mounts a little wider... and shim with shims made from a plastic milk jug. When it gets bent (I really don't think that one will bend... mind you), but if it is tweaked and near impossible to remove... a little acetone will desolve the plastic... and the "U" drops off. Just 0.020" is all that is needed.

actually the bottom plate is 1/4" welded to the 1 1/8" tube and the "U" shaped pieces are 3/8 x 2" and they are mounted with 1/2 grade 8's

I will try the plastic thing, thanks:beer:

Do you have any better pics of the nerf bars/rock sliders? And any other angles? I want to built some that have the same look as the stock step also. What are the specs on them?

Hey fc187, I really like your t-case skid. If you don't mind I'd like to use some (all) of your design ideas. The only extra I would add are plates on the sides so the bars dont get hung up;)

knock your self out.

I considered plating the sides, but I didnt want to block all access to the t-case for "routine maint." The bottom has an access hole for the drain, and I left the sides open to fight with linkage, tighten bolts and check fluids without having to remove the plate.

I can see where it would help on a "comp" rig though. I look forward to seeing your improvements. After all, improvements is what this is all about

sorry, I dont have any more pics :(

I had to bum the cam to take the pics that I posted on the comp that I also bummed:D

I am a BUM:D

actually its just 2" .120tube bent at 90's, one leg is a little longer than the other. 1/8" steel DP just welded to the top, butted up to the rockers.

if I pop more pics I will send them your way. PM me a reminder

Hey Jim! how the hell ya been!

"is my rig done"? oh boy! :D

you know the answer to that. Their never done. Done is a word you use to shut your wife up. "after this honey it will be done" :D

I am divorced now so I dont even have to use the word "done" anymore.

Actually,...I finished it in mid summer, had a blast, broke a bunch of stuff, floped it once :D, and now,.....Dejavu all over again.
