Anyone know some areas around Dunsmuir to snow wheel?

When I was younger, my grandparents lived in Yreka, and Grandpa would take us out to McCloud Res. and there are some roads that travel around and behind the res. I remember it takin us a couple of hours of playin in the snow, but I don't remember if it was "wheelin worthy".

If you travel just up to Yreka, there are LOTS of mountain roads with good snow wheelin!!!

Good luck!

What brings you to Dunsmuir? I live in McCloud, and we got a inch or two of fresh snow last night. You can follow the road from the resivoir down some back roads (all the way to Redding if you want) but theres not much technical wheeling. Before the mill and railroad shut down you could go up behind town and follow old logging roads all over the place, but now its gated off. Another thought is the snowmobile park outside of town, I heard the forrest service didn't have the money to plow the road all the way to the park, and depending how much snow is on the ground you could probably drive out there, then wheel in to the park, and play there, but I don't know for sure.
