Simple question, which one is stronger?

I am moving from a Dana 30 with CTM joints to A H233 (NISSAN GQ axle) which can use the longfield joint CV not the U-joint.

I know some tire recomendations for the D44 CTMs but I am not aware of them for the longield joint.

Thaks in advance.

so this Nissan axle is stronger than the little D30 huh? first i heard of this swap. i ran 35's on my little D30 on stock shafts and never broke till i jumped to 37's.

CTM's are expensive as you already know. are the Longfiels same price or what?

THe nissan axle is a lot stronger than D30, 9 1/4 ring gear, 30 spline shafts, however the OEM joints are crap. The only way to upgrade them is use Longfield joints. I am now running D30 with CTMs and nitro shafts (27spl) with 33TSL bias and no breakage. I was thinking of moving to 36x12,5 TSL which I think will be too much for the 30 .... I just need to know if the longfield cvs are stronger then the CTMs ... thas all

Wouldn't you upgrade once you break?

You might try the suzuki section, or the toyota section for this question. There are lots of guys who run both in there and could tell you what kind of abuse they'll take. I'd try the zuk forum first though, the toy forum can be kind of brutal.
