I was just wondering what you guys thought about trading my set of Scout 2 Dana 44's with 3.54 gears and no lockers for an AMC 20 rear with 4.56 gears and a Detroit locker and a Dana 30 front 4.56 gears and lock-rite locker (both wide track). It would save me $1200+ in gears and lockers but I would be down grading in axle strength. What I am thinking is take the trade and wheel it until I can afford to buy and build another set of 44's or even 60's. Just looking for some opinions.

why do it all twice. and the idiot that invented the model 20 needs to be shot in the face with rock salt.

IMHO I would just stick with what ya got and upgrade slowly but surely.

Build the axles you want now.

Or, take the trade and sell, then put the money towards what you really want.
