Planning on running the Riffel canyon trail in the Fry Mountain range. How long will it take driving 25-30 mph to get there from Means Dry lake bed?
Thanks for any help!
Harold.

It's about 12 miles of dirt road from the lake bed to the trail head of Crowbar. (just mapped/plotted it from Google Earth via the dirt roads)
So it kinda depends on how fast your junk can take the whoops and such.

Thanks for the help. Not sure if we're going to load up the trailers and haul our rigs there or take the 40-45 minute drive. We're not setup for high speed so its gonna take a while :D

take the drive offroad, the highway access road to soggy is washboard rough, and you will get to see more of the area, and learn your way around, just haul to the far end of melville and hang a left.

Head west to Melville Dry Lake, go north to the end of Melville (high speed) until you get to the MDR race course, then head west to Soggy Dry Lake and the Fry Mountains. In my 84 4Runner (leaf sprung) it is only about 30 minutes.
