I know this can be done, but what modifications must be made to run 15's with a 60 up front. I was going to put a 44 but I may be able to get a 60 at a reasonable price (and then Id be one ton front and rear:D ) I know you can run super low backspacing, but what other options are there?

Grind the hell out of them.

With Fords dual piston calipers I spect either 2.5" backspacing or swapping to Chevy knuckles and brakes (can be ground safely) if the backspacing bothers you. Those would be the two options that are the safest. That or a swap to 5x5.5 and the entailed expense involved with that...but if you already have a 8lug rear thats probably pointless. What size rubber do you wish to run? Alot of tire manufactures building tall 16/17 inch stuff these days and those will clear the brake with ease...just food for thought.

Im going to be running 36" Swampers, but have seen how well the beads hold (or lack of) on 16's and 16.5's. And thats good because my rear wheels have 2.5" of backspacing now. Anyone else know if 2.5" will definitely work?

Yes, it works great on my '87 Ford D60 front, no grinding required.
