What aplication are the really long, offset pin ford springs??

What years, what trucks.

I got a couple sets that are 3" from F-350's and such, but would rather have something in a 2-1/2" wide spring.

F-150??? What years?? I swear I've seen some before, there are super long and hella flexy.

Any other aplication to look at?? I've heard rear Durango (sp?) springs before, and the look long with an offset pin, but never looked that close.

I've heard '78-'86 F150s and Broncos. You might also check '74-'89 Wagoneer/Grand Wag. rear springs. If you want some really long springs there are also the 63" Chevy springs, mid/late 80's and 90's Chevy 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons.

I was curious one day and since I Drive a '95 Ford F-150 I measured my springs and the fords springs.

The fords were 2.5" wide and the front spring eye to spring (axle locating) pin was the same as the scouts. I don't remember EXACTLY what the spring pin to rear spring eye was but it was REALLY close if not right on with the scouts also.......

That's why I'm always talking about using ford springs on my scout. They ride and flex really well too.

They would be designed for SOA too,

wouldn't that mean longer spring life,

Hey Cliffhanger, think you could measure those again?? This time paying closer attention to the rear pin centering.

What I'm after are a set of (rear) springs that I have heard of, the are REALLY long, but have the pin offset so that oneside is simular to scout distance, then the other side is longer.

Are you guys thinking about the old Ford Hi-boy spings???
sounds like you're describing late seventies F-series spings.
I think the Hi-boy spings were 3", though.

There are lots of off-set long springs available if you look. the rears for Grand wagoneers, cherokees, the later Jeep trucks are all around 56" long with an off-set. What is a Scout II off-set?

86-96 F150.There are 2.5 and 3" versions.The best ones are the 4 leaf +an over load.There 57" eye to eye and from the front eye to the center pin is 25".

I'll measure again sometime soon. Definitely by sat evening......
