My sister has a 93 Grand Cherokee 4.0 with a leaking power steering pump that I get to fix, just wandering if this is common problem and what was the fix. It has a two piece plastic reservoir that may be the culprit, or pump seals? Just wandering what parts to buy before tearing it apart tonight.

I have a 94 GC with a 5.2L. I replaced my pump not too long ago because of a leak. I don't know if yours is the same, but my resevoir is plastic and the return hose nipple on it is also plastic and very very prone to failure (cracking). Mine leaked and made all sorts of noises since there was air in the fluid. I couldn't tell where it was leaking until I pulled it. It was only slight more to replace the whole thing versus just the resevoir. I bought a rebuilt unit from ABC Auto Parts and had them pull the old pulley. installation is cake. Good Luck.

thanks that is probably what i will do, just replade the whole thing, it only $70.

FYI, if fixed it last night, the back if the pump was leaking, the back cover of the pump that is held in by a snap ring was leaking, I just replaced the pump with a rebuilt unit.
