I am having a hell of a time putting a clutch in my 97 Tacoma 6cyl. 4x4 . I am doing it by myself ON THE FLOOR with one good jack. ANYWAY, I cant seem to get my head around how the slave cylinder is mounted back up to the trans (not the actual slave but the rubber and metal lines), its soo long did it wrap up and over the tranny or what, every angle I see to mount it ,its definitly wrong as the rubber line is slightly in a bind. Does any one have a picture or able to explain how to route the line from the clutch master to the slave mount on the trans? I have the bellhousing bolts in but not tight and need to mount the slave so I can push the clutch in so HOPEFULLY the shaft and splines line up and mesh.
thanks!
Chris

why did you pull the tranny to change the slave cyl?

Ummmm... Put it back together like it came apart

I'm not sure about the V6, but there should be a bracket above the slave cylinder on the bellhousing, and another one on the firewall that the rubber hose sits in. I would think it would be self explanatory... What am I missing here?
