What is a decent price for a set of stock skidplates of a Scout II(78 SSII I think??) Saw a set for sale for about $250 and was wondering if that was a good deal or not. I just mainly need the one for the tranny X-fer case. I dont think the front engine will fit on a lifted Scout. The owner said that that it covers to the bottom of the front diff. TIA

FYI my skid plate covers from the rear of the t.case to the middle of the engine oil pan. I believe this is a stock skidplate.

Right...In my opinion the front axle skid plate is a joke .

The one from the oil pan to the TC has it's downfalls but I like it and think it's cool, I've used that one. Don't forget to get the mounting braket and hardware for it if you decide to buy it.

I paid around $60 for mine around 8 years ago and I'd probably do it again.

$250.00 is way to much for a set, They are not that hard to make, i have the front one and the rear and i think i sold the middle one for $20.00. I have seen them on Ebay for alot cheaper than $250.00, thats a lot of cash if you are only going to use the middle one.
