Ok i am having issues with my flexplate in my 75 Bronco with a C4 my old one was warped and made noise so I figured I would easily just get another one and replace it. Not so easy i guess so i went to my local parts store and ordered the flexplate and installed it on the engine and it doesnt bolt up to my torque converter. It does line up with 4 big slotted holes but the nuts would be on an angle part of the plate? i have ordered 2 and there the same. Are my parts guys just lame or does it really just bolt like that? Has anyone else had this issue?

There were two different flexplate tooth counts and TC bolt patterns used for the SBF applications.
My bet is you got a 157 tooth flexplate with the small bolt circle commonly used in a car app.

sounds like you have a 10.5" bolt pattern convertor and a 11.5" flexplate they are giving you, order the 10.5" plate w/the proper tooth count 157 or 164 and your all set...
compare it to the old one, it may have a part number on it...

You can still get any combo of tooth count, bolt circle, and imbalance you need. You just have to know what you need and where to look.

Broncos used the 164 tooth flexplate. Some had the 11.5" converter, some had the 10.5". The 10.5" converter pattern on a 164 tooth flexplate is a fairly rare combo. Used on some Broncos and high performance cars. It's not really an off the shelf part any more, so you may have to get one custom made, or switch to the more common 11.5" converter.
The 10.5" converter gives a bit higher stall speed. Which may be useful, depending on your driving style.

I had the same setup in my 75 EB at one time. It's a 164 tooth 10.5 inch bolt pattern flexplate. It uses a special torque converter with a snout welded the TC. You're going to have a hard time matching flexplate. It would be easier to just get an 11- 7/16 TC and 164 tooth 11-7/16 flexplate 28 oz imbalance.
I'm pretty sure transtar carries both.

Click the link in my first post.
They sell every combination of c4 flexplate you could think of.
I buy all my c4 stuff from P.A. and they are good people to deal with.
