OK, Here's what I got, FJ40, Scout Box, J20 pitman arm, FJ40 steering. My original plan was to lengthen my stock drag link(done) and get the $50Toy/Sag tie rod end to match up to the J20 Pitman arm. (done:mad: ). seems the rod end doesn't want to match the thread on my toy tie rod. What are my other options to finish my linkage? Oh, I don't currently have access to a welder and have to pay for any fab work:mad: . Thanks, Drew

Get a new draglink made with the metric 17mm threads in one end and the appropriate domestic threads in the other. Would not be too expensive, less than 100 for some heavy wall DOM tube and the threading... I would try to stay with easily sourced TRE's and make a bomber draglink...

How did you lengthen your stock drag link? What is the diameter and thread pitch of this "$50 Toy/Sag" TRE? Is there any way you can return that expensive TRE and replace it with an SAE unit? As Brett advises, for that price you can almost get a good SAE TRE and much stronger draglink, especially if you can get a gullible PBB member to make it for you;)
