I think the very best thing about the iPhone is the camera.

Here are some shots I got this season on the stand.

Do you guys take pictures on the stand?

nice "thru the lens" shots...

I need to try some of those myself.

They are very frustrating. I had a beautiful 10 pt on Sat and an 8 pt on Sunday that I tried to get and both times they just stood there at 150-200 yards, I had plenty of time and could not get the camera lined up right. I wanted to scream. They were nice, borderline shooters and I would have LOVED to have had pictures of them in the scope.

that's what they say, "the best camera in the world is the one you have with you." At 3mp it's a pretty good cam. plus there are a ton of free camera apps that are way better than the oem one. I like camerapro myself.

THANKS!!!

Not that year, as I was hunting with my daughter and she didn't want anything shot, though I had my gun. The 7 point was too young anyway, being a 2 1/2 year old. He didn't progress much this year, so, my daughter and I went to the same spot, and shot him this year to take him out of the herd.

Here's a link to the thread.
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=841069&highlight=daughter

I usually bow hunt all year, but since my daughter wants to hunt, the gun has come out again, so she can tag along.

That is great to see a buck year-to-year like that. I was going to comment that I thought he was a high quality cull in those first pictures. That is really cool. I would have shot it for sure. Great deer.

Thanks we've been "growing deer" for 25 + years. An expensive and challenging hobby, but one my family really enjoys as well as managing the land/timber. The game cameras have really helped our hobby on our personal place. In the area where the deer were killed, he and the six were dominate deer, though better genetics were in some smaller 8s, being 2 1/2 year olds.

Regardless, I was more excited in shooting the 7 pt, than other larger deer with the longbow, due to my daughter being with me. :)

I love my camera phone. It's not the best in low light situations but fun none the less.

1 - there's a deer hiding
2 - there she is...
3 - squint and look hard. 2 bucks. both 2.5 years old. One 5 point and the other was probably a 14" before breaking one side off just above the brow tine... that was 375 yards away
4 - if a deer pees in the field will someone take a picture?
5 -peckerwood

3 - from above, the turkeys and deer got along well. everytime I would see deer, I would see the turkeys with them

That was when i lived in Idaho. lived there for two years. The mountain picture was up in the sawtooths outside Carey ID.

The pic of the deer was taken by Salmon Falls reservoir.

I kinda regretted letting this pig walk last year. It jinxed me for a good part of the season.

This guy was a better eating size, he didn't get to walk. It's the dark lump in the center toward the back.

Those guys are lucky that deer did not kill them while they were extracting it from that tree. Must have been a major trophy spot not to have killed that deer instead of working its head free.

Lucky....How so? That deer was most likely exhausted and hyperventilated to the point that it wasn't a lethal threat. I bet as soon as it was freed, that buck jumped and jammed his way out of there...

Jan 15 evening hunt. No overall pictures of field.

The big doe had a place behind her shoulder which was injured and had a gray scabby area about the size of a quarter to fifty cent piece, with what appeared to be a stub sticking out. An arrow shaft maybe? Regardless, she appeared to be fairly healthy, but had an uneven gait in her rear walk.

No deer were taken in the evening.

The next morning Jan 16th, I saw nothing.

Jan 16th evening, I only saw one:

Michigan friends left, with no deer taken but a lot of fun and fellowship.

Saw on the cameras, the deer were moving from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Hunted from roughly 10:50 am to 12:05 pm. Had a doe appear 5 minutes after being in the stand, then a buck following her. Then 10 minutes later a small spike, and then another doe about 30 minutes after.

Picture of field:
