Does anyone know if you can add hydro assist to the LT1 stock motor? Does and AGR kit fit the LT1? Help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

ANYthing can be made to fit, just a question of how much custom fabrication you are willing to do / pay for. The LT1 does (factory most apps) have a serpentine belt system, and direct drive water pump, so some stuff takes a bit of thought, but when I worked for a place that played with Camaros and Vettes, we made a lot of stuff work that 'didn't fit'. Sometimes it was far from cost effective tho.

I am sure if money was not object someone can make it fit, I just happen to be one of the people who can't shell out a boat load cash for a boat load of fab work.

EDIT:

Has anyone installed a hydro assist system to an LT1. If you have, what did you use?

Again, thanks for your input.

Im in the middle of an LT1 swap not running yet though. What do you need help with. I had PSC port out and rebuild my pump and im running it in the stock location. They said with assist it sould be fine with my 42s. It may squilell at high revs at full lock since its running on the back side of the belt. good luck I hope i like my LT1 cant wait to drive it!!!

The fittings are about the hardest part of all of it.

Use this in the back of the pump to convert it to AN style fitting.
#6 to 16mmx1.5 O-ring fitting from Summit/ RUS-648060

I'm in the middle of my LT1 swap so I havent had a chance to run it but like my other moded chevy pumps I'm sure it will be just fine.

What did it PSC charge you to do that?

Good luck to you as well.

Update: Getting started on the roll cage this weekend.

Thanks for the input guys, making me feel better about my choice in the LT1.

maybe $80 for the rebuild and port. They are very friendly and helpful on the phone, maybe give em a call.
