I have a 4wd c6 do I need a special adapter to make the atlas fit?? I haven't taken the tranny out of the truck and it is in storage 15 miles from home.

My C6 is from a 4x4. As long as you have the stock adapter just order your Atlas for whatever vehicle it came from. All I was able to tell them was it was a C6 from a 4x4 with a 1356 case, 31 spline output. The sent me the Atlas and everything I needed. If fit perfectly.

I already have the atlas it's behind a nv4500. I think the splines are the same between the two (auto and manual) I just wasn't sure if the bolt patterns were the same

Both auto and manual trannies should share the same output and bolt pattern. (6 hole round 31 spline) If your Atlas is setup for Ford it should bolt up to the C-6. What configuration is the Atlas that you have?
