I'd like to know if it's possible to move the stock gas tank up into the bed area right behind the driver. Pics of your setup would be cool. cajunsuzukispider 01-07-2010, 03:07 PM I got pics of my new tank location here: http://photobucket.com/jamesdeansjeep it's in front of the axle just showing the top through the bed. made a custom holder for it. in one pic I'm standing in it. there's a swivel fuel pickup I made so it'll pick up from the bottom of the tank no matter which way it's tilted. I bolted the stock skid to the floor, then the tank to the skid. Maybe not, tank is bigger than I thought it was. The stamped 10.6g tank does take up a healthy amount of room. I have measured a few times, and a 15 gallon cell could easily take up the same space. I remember 4RnrRick’s Samurai (RIP his build thread :flipoff2: ) and he had a 19 gallon cell side-by a rear kids seat. With some careful planning, I am sure it could work with the stock tank | |
