I've searched, but there's only a couple of threads I can find about them. I want to go 22.5s, Even steelies would work. Various reasons for it, load capacity, and tread wear, as well as that I want to keep it on bigger tires.

It seems like every adapter is made by one company possibly and rebadged? $800-900 for a set of 4. Any other options out there? Other than buying 22.5 8 lug rims?

I'm not a fan of adapters at all, but, I'd rather be able to pick up a spare rim or tire easily, and it seems that guys are running these adapters without a problem, so what do the guys running these on haulers have to say?

I have the 8 lug on mine, just get ahold of rickson and be done with it. :D

I know that's not what you want to hear, but I can't see how pricewise the high $ adapters will be any better of a deal.

I can source wheels and tires locally. And my trail rig has a budd pattern(I could put the rims from the dually onto if need be for whatever)

The wheels themselves can be had fairly cheap, and on the off chance I screw up a rim, or want a 2nd set of rims/rubber, it's cheaper to run the 10 lug pattern.

Maybe consider a set of 19.5's instead. My boss just put a set of 245/70R19.5 on his srw dodge and he's happy. They are G rated which is pretty bad ass for a srw. You can get them in at least a 285/70R19.5 which if I remember correctly is around 36 inches tall. The dually 8 lug 19.5's are all over craigs list and my boss got 4 retreads mounted for about $750. They should last from 60-100k from what we've read.

I've been told that, but I have my reasons for wanting 10 lug, wether anyone really agrees or not. That means I have to run adapters.

I just bought a set on eBay for $719 shipped. He has listed another set.

I am going to run 245/70R19.5 tires on 7.5" wide steel dually wheels. I know that will be a heavy combo.
