Not really hangin in the background, just kickin it here at the Colorado School of mInes doing homework for most of my day, track practice for another good part, and a shit load of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2. And of course working and wheelin my '66 800. I just get on or reply to every topic on here every time I get onto PBB.

I don't know if he's been in here but I was on the Gen4x4 area and saw a guy called Scoutaholic......

Yeah I guess I kinda hang in the background. My Scout's not that wild so thats why I dont have alot to say. But I have swapped Holley Projection onto my 345 so if anyone has any problems with something like that I can help. I wheel at Tellico and some other places in east Tennessee/ west NC. My project of the week is swapping out my TF727 for a close T19. Having trouble getting a clutch alignment tool, but thinking about trying to put it in without it.

I have two - the first one was wrong. :-)

However, in the past, on a Chevy Luv, I just used a ratchet handle to get it lined up properly.

First time I got it right, but when I had to pull it again, I had to re-align the clutch a few times to get it right.

I prefer the alignment tool when dealing with a T19! The less I have to move it the better.

At least with the Luv 4spd I could man handle it into place.. the T19 requires the hoist and/or a tranny jack. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I usually just eyeball center the clutch on the bearing...then again I am usually changing the engine so it is easier to position than a tranny on a floor jack.

Well I'm more of a jeep guy but I sometimes hurk here cus my dads got 4 or 5 scouts rusting in his yard and I've been thinking about building on up as a custom mud truck. So I like reading the daily topic, very informative.

Well I been hanging out on the Zuki board for about 6 mo. got a samurai that I have been wheeling for about 3 years with a ton of mods. then back in June I decided that I needed a scout thanks to my best friend "Hayraker". I dont know weather to hug his neck or kick his ass. anyway I have just about got all my parts gathered up to start the build-up on my 78 traveler that I picked up on Ebay. My plans include:

SOA front with full size axles.
4 link coil over rear
Dana 70 rear with 5.13's & detroit locker (got it)
Dana 60 Front with detroit. (need it)
got everything else I need might run a full width 44 till then I got one yesterday
Rockwell divorced T-Case to run behind the Dana 20 in a dual Tcase config also got a NP205 I can use, like the rockwell better.
345with 727 auto
Fully hydraulic steering or AGR superbox high-steer havent decided yet got the stuff to do either
bob it from the rear fenderwells back.
PTO winch in rear. Pierce 10K winch front.
39.5 x 18 Boggers or 42" TSL's havent decided.
Dual batteries and beer coolers thats for sure.

Little lift as possible out comes the sawzall.

Been lurking. ScoutII, lifted, currently working or trying to switch to fullsize axles. Cant seem to find answer as to what brake line to use in the rear for my D60FF to matchup to my ScoutII brake line. Ive looked but maybe not hardnuff. Anybody know which line & where to get it? The D60 is actually off a 77ford f250. Also I would like disc brakes w/ebrake for it so need that info too. <IMG SRC="smilies/bounce2.gif" border="0">

Doug Scott is a cool dude. I had the opportunity to wheel with him in Tellico. Good guy, and does great work, he did a bunch of work on my buddy's Scout II.
