I am starting this poll due to the fact I was at a USFS meeting tonight about the seasonal closures they are putting on our land, and was talking to a few of the LEO's up there and they said that the majority of the wheelers they talked to were in favor of closing Slickrock to green stickered rigs! I would like to see for myself the way pirate users feel! Thank you for you input!

I vote green stickers. I have both green sticker and plate, but who really gives a fuck were all out there to wheel and have fun. It shouldnt matter.

X2 for both.... While were at it it should be open 365 days a year. But I thought it was already closed to green stickers.... Snowmobiels mash through there why can't we...

i voted green sticker, i dont see why it matters if you drive your rig there or trailer it.

in my opinion they wanna close it to green stickered trucks cus they see the green sticker trucks as being big ass overkill rigs that dont belong on that trail because theyre "ruining" it. even though its not very difficult its still a fun ass place to go up and camp/wheel

I voted green sticker even though mine has plates. Someone is always trying to take something away....may just be the beginning.

I got rid of my rig on 49's and rocks just for the simple fact I had to travel so far to find anything challenging! So now I own a early bronco on 42's that is dual registered just to keep all of the leo's happy! It just sucks nowadays anything fun that has to do with the forest they try and take it away from us! Example is this whole new eis statment no wheeled over snow travel allowed on all exept 3 roads in Calaveras county! Now that is some bullshit right there! We get alot of grief from fellow wheelers saying that we don't put up a fight over here to keep our land open, that is not true at all we just simply gave up after they took most of our dirtbike and atv trails away 6 years ago. A group of almost 200 fought against c.o.r.e over here during that time and it was like baisically the forest service spit in our face and said f off!

My rig could be street legal but I don't want to pay high reg and smog the thing every 2 years so why should I not be able to use and off road trail, in fact since my green sticker fee goes to maintenance off OHV trails I should have more right than a highway rig to use it.....

And just because most green stickered rigs are more extreme that doesn't mean they screw the trail up in fact if anything they spin tires less because they're more capable than a crap highway rig spinning all over the place trying to get thru on 31's, so again who does more damage a rig that actually has money into it or some tweeker in his beat highway rig on 31's?????????

Most people that have green stickered rigs are more on the up and up on whats going on with OHV use also so they're less likely to be careless too so again blazerboy85 who ruins it more again the uneducated highway crowd or the responsible OHV green stickered crowd!!!

I voted no (keep it open to all).

Although I think many of the Green Sticker rigs I have seen up there are majorly overbuilt for such a mild trail.

As long as a user respects the rules, this should be a non-issue.

Most green stickered rigs may be over built for it but not every trip is about hard core wheelin either, I think some people feel that if you have a built rig like that, that its all your in to and that is totally untrue in fact one of my favorite trails is barrett lake for the scenery and desolation wilderness hikes!!!!!

I've been to Slick Rock many of times with a rig way too built for it. I go to enjoy the area not for a challenge.

I totally agree.

It's just the 5%ers I worry about. (all it takes is 1 yahoo in an overbuilt rig to ruin it for everyone else). Those are the guys the anti-access folks paint to be 99% of us.:shaking:

Yeh, but it's just not the 5%ers of green stickers, a street legal rig can be bad enough.
