I think he used a Painless wiring harness, but can't remember who did the computer. He got rid of the downstream O2 sensors, EGR and a couple other stupid stuff.. starcraft burban 01-14-2010, 12:08 AM I'm thinkin about puttin the good ol 7.4 vortec in my 89 suburban. As far as a wire harness I'm thinkin about using the one out of my donor truck. Aftermarket ones i've came up with: painless performance (expensive but nice!!!), techrods ($325 for a complete harness on eBay), there is a couple others but I don't remember them right off the top of my head. There is actually quite a few companies that reflash ECU's for custom applications such as: nelson performance, fuel injection specialties, PCM performance, wait4meperformance, and howell engine developments which does harness work and ECU programming.
