Any reason not to use a 60 with a vaume disconnect? Seems like it would work great with a spool, but I don't every hear about anyone running them.

There are 2 problems with the mid 90s dodge 60s.
1. The inner axle seal is at the vacuum disconnect. If you replace that inner axle with a 1 piece axle, they leak. The housing needs to be machined for an inner axle seal at the carrier.

2. The shafts are all funky sizes. The outer shaft is a 33 spline, and the inner is a 32 spline 1.3 something" shaft. They're like TJ shafts. The outer is really stubby and both splined and threaded, using an outer retaining nut.

Otherwise they're good housings.

I'm not real fond of the unit bearings being so expensive. I had a 95 RAM with one that needed both sides. *sigh* Ball joints go easily, so keep an eye on them.
