Just posting for an acquiantance who doesn't make it here too often. Axles are in the BS / Alberta region:
Would anyone be interested in the following axles...
'Turnkey' 60 series spring over axles:
Front Axle Includes:
Complete front axle, from hub to hub
4Runner 4 big piston calipres
Cut, rotated and gussetted by Aqualu
10" long spring perches
Extreme Off Road high steer arms.
Mudrak 1/4" DOM tie rod.
Mudrak 1/4" DOM relay rod.
8"x1.5" hydraulic ram for assisted steering. It's bolted to mounts which are welded to the Mudrak Tie rod, and to the top of the diff housing.
"Marlin tacks" on the inner axles
Spare inner axles, both long side and short side
Includes 5.29 gears (not mounted)
Does not include the differential.
Everything was rebuilt or replaced 18 months ago, including the tie rod ends, relay rod ends, calipers, rotors, wheel and knuckle bearings, but the hard and soft brake lines are all brand new.
Several birfields have been exploded inside the knuckles so they are a bit chewed up.
Rear Axle Includes:
FF 60 series axle
Custom Read Disk Brakes using Toyota 60 series front rotors, and 4Runner big piston Callipers.
Spare long side axle (this is the one that is unique to the 60 FF axle.
The 45 series short side FF axle is the same)
5.29 gears (not Mounted)
10" spring perches
Also included is a 'spare' set of 5.29 gears. These gears suffered
intolerable damage when the pinion nut fell off, but the pinion would make a passable trail spare if you were ever unfortunate enough to require it.
Other than the diffs, this is a ready to rumble S/O set-up for your 60 series. You can easily run 38 to 40" tires with the 5.29 gears! I would suggest a set of longfields or newfields, however.
I have over $5,000 CAD invested in these axles, which I've only used for 18 months (2 trips to Alaska, 1 trip to Moab). I am asking $3,500 CAD, or $2,500 USD. (Yes, I'm giving my fellow Canadians a discount!)
Please contact me directly if you are interested.
