How many?? Complete? Working condition? And *SIXTIES* - not the often lied-about D44 front end "Oh yeah, it's out of a one-ton"..
Thought I'd scored a 60/14-bolt for $400 until I found out it was a 44/14-bolt.. nahhh..
Cliffy [JD] 10-18-2001, 05:42 PM Now that I've got you guys all excited......
here's the details.
The first guy has "Many 4x4's" but he "doesn't even know what a Dana is"
BUT...He said whatever front axle I chose = $200.00
Another place DID know what a Dana 60 was and he said he has one out of a chevy with unknown Gear ratio......$275.00
However I'm afraid this might be the ever elusive 3/4ton D60 (D44) cause he said "Are you looking for the 3/4ton D60 or the 1/2ton D60" "I said how about the 1-ton D60" "He said yeah I got one of those too" I thought this one was worth taking a look at anyway. He might just be a confused hick; cause I KNOW he know's what a D60 is. I've talked to him about them before.
I'm planning on working on my fender this saturday, but if I can get it done in time I'm gonna go check to be [/b]FO-SHO[/b]at both places..
If I can score any extra's who want's one and what can be arranged for shipping.
I'll drive one as far as Denver for the price of gas and food (or maybe some beer to celerate the SCORE!!!) I'd like to know ahead of time so I can find some extra's.
Of course, at these prices I'll be getting at least two for myself... and then it's grabby grabby for ya'll within reach...
RustoleumWhite 10-18-2001, 08:12 PM I'LL TAKE ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hell ya, I'll even take two <g>
I'd pay shipping, intrested in doing Forward Air?? Cheapest way to ship axles as far as I know.
Brandonw 10-18-2001, 09:24 PM Count me in for one as well. Might as well just load them up on a moving truck and get em all!

TERRA-IZER 10-19-2001, 11:35 AM Cliffhanger, i will buy yours if you deliever mine to me, i'am in Penrose Colorado about 2 hours south of Denver. $400.00-600 is not bad for a open knuckle 60 front delievered
WyoJeeper 10-19-2001, 08:58 PM Hell I will take one too. I will buy 2 and come pick them up.
Rick
Joe V 10-19-2001, 09:12 PM Cliff,
Put me down for one D60 open knuck front.
That makes me 6th in line for the 8th available D60 axle. (sounds weird...hoping someone has 8 Dana 60 fronts)

Overkiller 10-20-2001, 12:11 PM I don't know if there's enough D60s in the world let alone in one junkyard but if you should get this far down the want list I'll take one. I'll either drive up or give you enough cash to make Forward Air worth your time.
Travis
WyoJeeper 10-20-2001, 12:59 PM Cliffhanger you find out they are D60s for that and I will go with to help to pull em. Just let me know.

Well colorado is a 2.5 hr drive and I do it at least once a month (lately it's been more like 3 times a month) And I don't have the time to "Make a QUICK run to Cali" :P
As far a cali goes. I would do shipping, but who on here feels comfortable sending me (up front) $200.00 + Whatever shipping is, and I'm guessing it'd be around $300.00 to cali.
The reason I'm putting my finiacial backers up front is because It'd be about 2-3 months before I could get the cash together. Since I blew my 'wheelin' savings on buying my scout and now I'm saving for tires, the D60 would have to wait since (DISCLAIMER: if there is any) I KNOW they're not going anywhere.
Anyway, I don't want to offend anyone, but unless you feel comfortable sending the cash up front I can't afford to back this up.
TERRA-IZER 10-21-2001, 08:08 PM Cliffhanger, if you find one for me i have no problem sending the cash up front, for your and mine. Let me know
Curtis 10-21-2001, 09:41 PM I'd trust you enough to send you the cash.
