Now it's lost it's engine/trans/t'case and interior and is currently storing my spare heads n' misc. engine parts until the shop is done.. someday it'll live again.

"Tigger" - I bought it sigh unseen, "Body is rough" he said.. LOL.

I think this is one of the earliest pics I have of it - I added the hub-caps and the 'bar, bikini, and "Bumper Thumper"..

4" front/SOA rear, on it's 4th motor since I've owned it (345 now), wide 4spd, front Locker, 33s, and a MUCH MUCH rougher body.

The doors don't close, the windows won't roll up/down without help, the tailgate won't shut, hardtop won't fit, the "new" windshield is cracked from the windshield frame flexing, the body mounts are toast, there's a hole in the RR corner of the bed, not one straight body panel on the thing...

What year did Hooper come out at the movies? Did you buy the truck from the production company? The first time I saw the movie I had no idea what a Scout was then. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Movie came out in 1978.

My folks bought the truck in 1978, before the movie came out.

My parents bought it from the IH dealer. The dealer told them before they bought it that they had leased it to a movie company for use in shooting a movie called Hooper, but the movie had not been released, so my folks had no idea at that time what it was about.

The production studio did not buy the truck. They leased it from the dealer, who later sold it to my folks.
