Wheelbase is longer as Old Scout said, and the body length is added between the doors and rear wheels allowing the rear seat to have a full back (no cutouts for wheel wells).

I think travelers and scout II's have the same rear overhang.

The factory literally cut the frame before the rear wheels ( I believe around the step area) and added an 18" section. If you ever look at a traveler/terra frame, you will see the splice.
