Does anybody know the frame size of the motor on this saw? The welder at the shop just told me it burned up..

Should be a 56. I just replaced a friend's HF bandsaw motor with a standard farm duty 1/2 HP motor. It's about twice the size of the HF version.

56 it is. I'm hunting another motor for my saw, so I know some of the specs.

I just picked up a 3/4hp from Tractor Supply for mine. I think I really only needed a 1/2hp to replace the original "1hp" motor.
